Naphcon-A Eye Drops 15 mL:

This medication is used to temporarily relieve eye redness, puffiness, itching, and watering that commonly occur with allergies Naphazoline is a decongestant. It belongs to a class of drugs known as sympathomimetic amines. It works by temporarily narrowing the blood vessels in the eye. Pheniramine is antihistamine. It works by blocking certain natural substances (histamines) that cause allergic symptoms. Do not use this medication to treat redness and irritation from wearing contact lenses.

Active ingredients:

• Naphazoline Hydrochloride 0.025% (0.25 mg/mL) – a vasoconstrictor (redness reliever) that reduces redness by constricting the blood vessels in the eye.
• Pheniramine Maleate 0.3% (3 mg/mL) – an antihistamine that relieves itching and other allergy symptoms.

Inactive ingredients:

• Benzalkonium chloride (preservative)
• Boric acid
• Edetate disodium (EDTA)
• Purified water
• Sodium borate
• Sodium chloride
• Sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH)

Uses:

Naphcon-A is indicated for the temporary relief of:

• Eye redness
• Itchy eyes
• Watery eyes
• Allergic conjunctivitis caused by pollen, ragweed, grass, dust, pet dander, and other allergens.
